GYP-LOCK Gypsum Sealer
Gypsum Cement on its own has very low abrasion resistance. Because of this tendancy towards dusting, the surface can be compromised during construction due to equipment and foot traffic. Gyp-lock will harden the surface, so it can resist scratching and dusting due to abrasion.
Adhesive glues easily bond to Gyp-Lock. Most importantly, with Gyp-Lock there is no surface membrane that would interfere with the bonding of glues to the gypsum. Faulty bonding between the gypsum and the glues could cause delamination issues with the flooring.
